What could a story named fireflies be about?

Hmm...since fireflies flash and stuff, it seems like it would probably be a story about a group of individuals that are different than others, like, they look like every other person (or bug) but something about them flashes and makes them different from the others. Also, it could be about a beach story (since fireflies are usually found on beaches) and it could be a love story with a beach setting.
