Studying for a certificate course alongside an LLB Law degree?

I am considering embarking on a certificate course through the OU alongside my LLB Law degree. My certificate would complement the law course and I was wondering if showing that you studied the two together alongside each other would make an impression on a potential employer? It would show time management, a level of cabability and that I had outside interests outside my course? What do you think?
