Weird blinking lights on ground and sky?

i was in my moms room watching tv around 11:00 i hit my head real hard and kinda just passed out in there. my mom woke me up at about 2:16 in the morning saying she hears something outside the window that was open and saw weird blinking lights. I thought it could of been fire flies or something . but it wasnt fireflies TRUST ME. it would stop and then blink from the sky to the ground in a heart beat sometimes it was in 2 locations at once ......... if it isnt human then could it be a ghost? or a alien? because my grandmother died in my moms room in march and iv just felt freaked out since then. it was bigger then fireflies and smaller then a flashlight so anyone know what it can be?
